The man responsible for killings, torture, disappearances and financial malpractice. Pressured by internationale politics, he scheduled a referendum. Vote SI to agree that Pinochet remains the political leader, vote NO for change.<\/p>\n<p>The film\u00a0NO\u00a0is about this age in Chilean history. Advertising talent Rene Saavedra is asked to lead the NO campaign. And that is a challenge to say the least. Many Chileans think SI will win by corruption. Others are afraid to vote. Saavedra tries to awaken his compatriots\u00a0with optimistic and surprising television.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rve\" data-content-width=\"750\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hGOcFPzx1H0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><!-- Responsive Video Embeds plugin by www.kevinleary.net --><\/p>\n<p>Now this is what we call a life-changing campaign, one that really matters. Spektor Storytelling, FilmFreaks and BKB are inspired by it and together they have organized a bootcamp: NO(W).<\/p>\n<p>50 creative minds from different fields of interest were invited to this special evening in Ostadetheater in Amsterdam. After an inspiration session with BKB about the Movember campaign we were divided into teams to come up with our own campaign. A campaign that could change the world (or a part of it). What do we want? Social change. When do we want it? NOW.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of that long, but very inspiring evening everybody showed their concepts. We have seen concepts for: More silence, More listening, More local initiatives, No more rushing and No more individualization.<\/p>\n<p>Soon all the ideas will be published in the official NO(W) bootcamp newspaper and on the <a title=\"NOW campaign website\" href=\"http:\/\/nowcampaign.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> of the initiative. A selected jury will choose the winner. If the film NO attracts enough visitors, then we will actually be able to realize this campaign. So go the movie theatres everybody, then we can change the world!<\/p>\n<p><em>NO runs <\/em><em style=\"line-height: 24px;\">in the Dutch movie theaters <\/em><em>from January <\/em><em style=\"line-height: 24px;\">31st<\/em><em>. The combination of original footage and the new images that are shot on U-matic, makes the movie take you back in time. \u00a0NO was selected for the <em>Quinzaine des R\u00e9alisateurs<\/em> in Cannes, won the Art Cinema Award and is also nominated for an Oscar.<\/em><!--:--><!--:nl--><br \/>\nChili, 1988. Dictator Pinochet is al jaren aan de macht. Moorden,\u00a0martelingen, verdwijningen en financi\u00eble malversaties zijn aan de orde van de dag. Maar onder internationale druk heeft hij toch een referendum uitgeschreven. Wie SI stemt, wil dat Pinochet de politiek leider blijft, wie NO stemt wil verandering.<\/p>\n<p>De film NO gaat over deze periode in de Chileense geschiedenis. Reclamejongen Ren\u00e9 Saavedra wordt gevraagd om de NO-campagne te leiden. En dat is op z&#8217;n zachtst gezegd een uitdaging. Veel Chilenen denken dat SI zal winnen door corruptie. Anderen durven niet te stemmen. Spektor Storytelling, FilmFreaks en BKB zijn erdoor ge\u00efnspireerd geraakt en hebben samen een bootcamp ge\u00f6rganiseerd: NO(W).<\/p>\n<p>50 creatieven uit verschillende vakgebieden werden uitgenodigd voor deze bijzondere avond in het Ostadetheater in Amsterdam. Na een inspiratiesessie met BKB over onder andere Movember werden we in teams opgedeeld om zelf een campagne te bedenken die de wereld (of een deel daarvan) zou kunnen veranderen. What do we want? Social change. When do we want it? NOW.<\/p>\n<p>Aan het einde van wat lange, maar zeer inspirerende avond werden de concepten kort gepresenteerd. We hebben concepten gezien voor onder andere: More zwijgen, More luisteren, More lokale initiatieven, No more haasten en No more individualisering.<\/p>\n<p>Binnenkort verschijnen alle idee\u00ebn in de offici\u00eble NO(W) bootcamp krant en op de <a title=\"NOW campaign website\" href=\"http:\/\/nowcampaign.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> van het initiatief. Een speciaal geselecteerde jury zal de winnaar kiezen. Mocht de film NO genoeg bezoekers trekken dan kunnen we deze campagne ook echt gaan realiseren. Dus allemaal naar de filmhuizen, dan gaan we de wereld veranderen!<\/p>\n<p><em>NO draait vanaf 31 januari in de filmtheaters. De combinatie van origineel beeldmateriaal uit die tijd en de nieuwe beelden die zijn geschoten op U-matic, maakt dat de film je mee terug neemt in de tijd.
