Collapsus is a project that wants to create awareness about the transition to alternative energy sources that has to be made\u200b\u200b in the near future. It tells the story of 10 young adults who are affected by these changes in different ways. The energy market collapses, with blackouts, riots and difficult choices as a result. Vera and the others seem to be immersed in a conspiracy. The question is: How would you deal with this? As a user you can send the story in different directions on different layers.<\/p>\n

The core is an online film about the people who have to live under these difficult circumstance. The film covers the years 2012 till 2025, a turbulent time. At some points on the left or right side of the film, an extra page appears. These pages give you more information about the subject in news-items, vlogs and interviews with experts. There are also interactive elements that confront you with environmental issues. The whole experience is a combination of documentary, fiction, life action, animation and interactivity.<\/p>\n

Since the story takes place in the future, people will know it’s not real. But, if we continue to live the way we do now, this story could become reality. That’s why the story is realistic and immersing. Because people wonder what might happen in the story and in real life. People are confronted with the way they deal with energy and the possible consequences.<\/p>\n

Collapsus probeert mensen bewust te maken van de overgang naar alternatieve energiebronnen die in de nabije toekomst gemaakt moet worden. Collapsus vertelt het verhaal van tien jonge mensen die op verschillende manieren be\u00efnvloed worden door deze veranderingen. De energie-markt stort in, met black- outs, opstanden en lastige keuzes als gevolg. Vera en de anderen lijken te worden opgeslokt in een spannend en gevaarlijk energie-complot. De vraag is: hoe zou jij daar mee omgaan? Als gebruiker kun je het verhaal sturen over verschillende lagen.<\/p>\n

De basis is een online film over de mensen die het instorten van de energie-markt meemaken. De film beslaat de periode 2012 tot 2025, een roerige tijd. Op sommige punten ontstaan er links of rechts naast de film extra informatie en interactieve elementen. Er zijn bijvoorbeeld news-items, interviews met deskundigen en vlogs te zien. In mini-games wordt je geconfronteerd met moeilijke vraagstukken op het gebied van energie. De experience is een combinatie van documentaire, fictie, life action, animatie en interactiviteit.<\/p>\n

Het verhaal speelt zich af in te toekomst, dus mensen weten dat het niet echt is. Maar als we zo doorgaan te leven als we nu doen, dan zou dit wel de realiteit kunnen worden. In die zin is het dus wel realistisch. Juist omdat mensen zich afvragen wat er zou kunnen gebeuren worden ze in het verhaal gezogen. Op deze manier worden mensen bewust gemaakt van de manier waarop ze met energie omgaan en gewaarschuwd voor de gevolgen daarvan.<\/p>\n
